One-on-one meetings with direct reports are one meeting to keep on your calendar and not reschedule. Regardless if everything is running smoothly, or if it is a total mess at the time and things are falling apart all over the place.

One-on-one meetings can be tricky. The value can feel elusive in the blur of daily life and reacting to constantly changing needs and time pressures.

How can you avoid wasting both your time and the time of your employees?
